Kudus is the creator. Panama will not press high so he will have time on the ball in the half spaces. His job is to pick the moment, slide the through ball, and arrive in the box late for the second phase. He scores or he assists. Often both.
Thomas Partey
The most experienced player in the squad and the one who calms everything down when the game gets stretched. Against a Panama side that will try to disrupt rhythm with fouls and slow restarts, Partey's tempo control is what stops Ghana getting drawn into a scrappy match.
How Panama Make It Hard
They will defend deep with two banks of four. They will look to slow the game at every opportunity. They will target set pieces because that is the only realistic route to a goal. Ghana need to be patient and clinical, not anxious. The danger window is the last 15 minutes if the score is still 0-0 and the crowd starts to turn. Get the first goal before then and everything opens up.
