Kamaldeen Sulemana

The third name that pushes Ghana from competitive to dangerous. Pace on the left flank, a willingness to take defenders one-on-one, and an end product that has improved at Southampton. Coming off the bench in the 65th minute against tired full-backs is the perfect role for the World Cup. He will produce a moment.

The Defensive Spine

Salisu and Djiku at centre-back are Premier League and Bundesliga regulars. That is not a sentence Ghana have been able to write at every recent tournament. Lamptey on the right adds pace and a willingness to overlap. Mensah on the left is steady rather than spectacular but he reads the game. This is the most stable Ghana back four in over a decade.

Goalkeeper Question
