He needs Osimhen sharp. He needs the midfield to hold shape. He needs the defence to stop being generous to big forwards. Portugal are the perfect test for all three.

Osimhen
If he starts, Portugal have a problem. Osimhen was one of the best players at AFCON and he has not slowed down. He does not need many chances. Give him one clear look and he will take it.
Watch how he presses Portugal's centre-backs from the front. That is where his work starts before he even gets the ball.
Lookman
Lookman is in the kind of form that makes defenders nervous before kick-off. He gives Nigeria something unpredictable down the flank. If Chelle lets him run at Portugal's full-backs, this could be a long night for their right side.
Iwobi
Iwobi runs the midfield with experience. He knows when to keep it simple and when to release. Against Fernandes and Bernardo, he will need both.
Bassey and Ajayi
They have looked more settled under Chelle. Portugal will still test them hard. The aerial balls from Fernandes and Leao's runs in behind are the two things they must handle right.
